James Turns One

On James' birthday Mary Ruth wanted James to have a breakfast bar instead of a birthday pancake. That seemed to be just fine with him! Happy Birthday baby boy!

James turned one on January 8, 2009. He is such a blessing to have in our family. He has been such a happy and sweet baby. When I say happy, I mean the first year of his life he has probably only cried for more than a few seconds 2 times--no kidding. I don't know what it is about that little boy but he loves to smile and giggle, he starts to laugh and just can't stop. It is precious. He is walking now, but was only taking a few steps on his birthday. He weighed 22.2 pounds at his one year check up. On his first birthday he could say dada, mama, baba, bye bye and would attempt Roo Roo. Now he has added uh-oh, no, no, no (while he shakes his head and smiles), d-d-d-ddora (thanks to MR), this and ball. He LOVES his sister. His face just lights up as soon as he sees her or hears her voice it is very sweet. She loves him too, she told me the other day, "Mommy, James is my best friend forever." We all love that little boy.
